About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Support environmental compliance by conducting monitoring, reporting, and environmental management activities that meet regulatory requirements and company standards while protecting the environment and supporting safe mining operations.

Conduct environmental monitoring including water sampling, wildlife protection, inspections, spill response, and sample management.

Maintain environmental data, registries, logs, and prepare technical and regulatory reports.

Support Environmental Management Systems (EMS), environmental management plans, audits, and compliance programs.

Investigate environmental incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.

Operate, maintain, and calibrate environmental monitoring and laboratory equipment.

Coordinate contractors, consultants, and environmental studies/projects.

Develop and deliver environmental awareness and training programs.

Review environmental documentation for regulatory compliance and technical accuracy.

Collaborate with operational, safety, and environmental teams to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Communicate environmental performance and requirements to internal stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline; professional designation (or eligibility) preferred.

Experience with environmental monitoring, groundwater and surface water sampling, and regulatory reporting.

Knowledge of Canadian and British Columbia environmental regulations.

Mining, industrial, or remote-site environmental experience considered an asset.

Strong analytical, technical writing, database, and computer skills.

Mechanical and instrumentation aptitude for environmental monitoring equipment.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.

Ability to travel to mine or project sites as required.
The expected salary range for this role is CA$85,400.00 - CA$113,900.00 + 15% STIP per year. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer extended to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history.
