This role calls for individuals who are extremely detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and have exemplary customer service skills. Proficiency in the use of basic office software and effective organizational skills are necessary.
Duties included but are not limited to:
Perform diagnostic testing and other pre-exam testing as require (autorefractor, tonometry, lensometry, OCT, Optos, Visual Fields)
Administer eye drops and record detailed information on patient history.
Prepare examination rooms including sterilization and calibration of instruments – turn on all computers and set to current patient information. Ensure privacy of patient information!
Provide direction and information as required to patients and collect required health information prior to eye exam.
Updating electronic records and perform other routine clerical tasks
Maintain patient records, third party billing and financial records and database
Maintaining the schedule: booking and confirming appointments appropriately
Insurance billings and submissions
Assist with frame selection and frame adjustments
Experience preferred, however training will be provided to the right individual.
