Job Title: Project Manager - Facilities & Storage Programs IV
Job Location: Edmonton, AB
Schedule: Hybrid – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office; Wednesday and Friday remote
Our client is seeking a Project Manager, Facilities & Storage Programs IV to lead and deliver integrity-driven maintenance projects across pipeline storage and facilities systems. This role focuses on planning, execution, and coordination of complex projects within tank inspection, refurbishment, and storage maintenance programs.
What’s the Job?
- Lead project planning activities, including confirming scope with sponsors and managing change approvals.
- Develop cost estimates for budgets, approvals, and scope adjustments, while identifying potential opportunities.
- Prepare and contribute to weekly and monthly reporting with internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Project Controls teams to track performance, manage change orders, approve invoices, and monitor budget and schedule risks.
- Ensure timely tracking and closure of work orders and purchase orders, and coordinate financial close-out.
- Partner with Supply Chain teams to support contract development, RFP processes, negotiations, and procurement activities.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define repair scopes and deliver construction-ready packages.
- Manage contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure proper resource allocation and successful execution.
- Coordinate project execution activities including outage planning, pre-construction deliverables, progress tracking, and lessons learned.
- Monitor field execution alongside Construction Coordinators, ensuring adherence to schedules, plans, and performance expectations.
- Support quality assurance processes by ensuring contractor quality plans are followed and issues are resolved.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety requirements and collaborating with safety teams.
What’s Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in project management, engineering, construction, or field operations.
- Experience with API 653 tank maintenance is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of project controls, cost tracking, and risk management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both in-person and across digital platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 25% for site visits.
- Self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability.
