Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Food Service Worker to join our team. This role involves providing excellent guest service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong customer service skills, and a good understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring efficient transaction processing and cash handling.
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining proper food handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional guest services by greeting customers, answering questions, and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely food preparation and service during busy periods.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including assembling ingredients and portioning items as needed.
- Handle cash register operations, including cashiering duties, basic math calculations, and balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order accuracy.
- Experience with food preparation, serving, cashiering, or hospitality roles is advantageous.
