Western Engineered Containment Ltd. – Alberta (Field-Based)
Build, Lead, DeliverWestern Engineered Containment (WEC) is seeking experienced Lead Field Technicians/Crew Leads to oversee containment and liner installation projects throughout Alberta.
This is a hands-on leadership role for experienced field professionals who are ready to lead crews, take ownership of project execution, and deliver safe, high-quality work for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews throughout all phases of project execution
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily work activities in changing field conditions
- Mentor and support technicians through coaching and on-the-job training to promote skill development and team performance
- Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and QA/QC documentation
- Coordinate with operations to ensure crews have the equipment, materials, and information required for success
- Build positive working relationships with clients while representing WEC professionally on site.
- Take ownership of field execution and contribute to successful project delivery
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- The ideal candidate will have: Experience leading field crews within the energy services, oilfield, civil construction, earthworks, or related industries
- A proven ability to organize work, prioritize competing demands, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Sound judgement and ability to make decisions in changing field conditions
- A commitment to safety, accountability, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

Experience Requirements
- Preferred 2+ years of experience leading field crews on construction, or energy service-related projects
- Experience with containment systems, liner installation, earthworks, construction, or similar field operations is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
- Strong understanding of safe work practices and site procedures
