We are currently looking for Light-Duty Mechanics for the mobile maintenance department.
The main responsibilities include:
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on light-duty vehicles;
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues efficiently and safely;
- Complete maintenance tasks according to company standards and procedures;
- Maintain accurate documentation and work orders;
- Follow all site safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment;
- Support the maintenance team with various tasks as required;
- Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Have professional diploma in Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Truck and Coach Mechanic;
- Have an Ontario Provincial/Interprovincial Red Seal Automotive Service Technician (310S) certification, considered an asset;
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on mobile equipment in a mining or industrial environment;
- Have experience in the mining industry, considered an asset;
- Show strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills;
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices;
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills;
- Experience working at a remote work site is considered an asset;
- Ability to work on a rotating schedule.
Working conditions and benefits:
- Temporary full-time position;
- Hourly salary between $40.00 and $55.00,depending on experience and qualifications;
- Time and half paid after 40 hours work per week and for work done outside the normal schedule;
- 14 days on / 14 days off rotation;
- 12-hour shifts (day and night shifts depending on operational needs);
- Fly-in / Fly-out work schedule;
- Transportation to and from the mine site provided (charter flight and/or ground transportation depending on employee's location);
- Camp accommodations and meals provided;
- Work clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE) provided;
