Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team of two specialists. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing excellent administrative support while interacting with patients and healthcare professionals. This position requires prior experience of working at a medical office and familiarity with electronic medical records systems, preferably Accuro.
Duties
- Greet and register patients
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Manage the office calendar effectively
- Maintain accurate patient records using Accuro EMR system
- Answer phone inquiries and take messages accurately
- Process patient information, including insurance verification and billing inquiries
- Assist the doctors with administrative tasks to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment to enhance patient experience
- Prepare and maintain the exam and procedure rooms
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant is essential.
- Previous experience in using Accuro EMR is desirable. Training will be provided if required.
- Must have strong administrative skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Computer and typing skills (50+wpm) is essential.
- Must be fully Covid vaccinated to work in healthcare

You will join a team of one full time Rheumatologist and one part time Internal Medicine Specialist as a Medical Office Assistant where you can contribute to a positive healthcare experience for our patients while developing your skills in a supportive environment.
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
