We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. We are located at The Big Apple.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, demonstrating product features, and driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for retail.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Engage in upselling to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring product availability
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations
- Use effective phone etiquette when handling inquiries or follow-up calls
- Keep the sales floor organized and clean, adhering to company standards for presentation
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Stay informed about new products to better serve customers
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or customer service is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining a positive customer experience
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse customers
- Ability to work well within a team and independently as needed
- Prior experience with cashiering, merchandising, or retail sales is advantageous
