Job Title: Ontario Health Team Project Manager.
Reports To: Director of Operations, MAOHT.
Status: Part Time Contract Ending March 31, 2027 with Possibility of Extension.

Hours: Up to an average of 18.75 hours per week.
Location: Majority of work will be remote.
BACKGROUND
The Muskoka Almaguin Ontario Health Team (MAOHT) is a collaboration of Muskoka and area health and social/community service partners and includes representation from 19 organizations, reflecting primary care, home care, hospitals, community agencies, mental health and addictions, the District Municipality of Muskoka and patient, family and caregiver partners.

This position is a part time contract position until March 31, 2027 with possible extension.
It should be noted that the deliverables and responsibilities of the role may evolve to match provincial and or local OHT priorities.
This role will work within the MAOHT operations team to provide project management and implementation expertise, advice, and support to our OHT and partners.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Project Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating and supporting a variety of strategic projects and planning activities to advance MAOHT’s priorities.
The OHT Project Manager will use project management best practices to drive key initiatives in collaboration with organizational leadership. The Project Manager will interact with senior leaders across OHT partner organizations in a variety of forums including committees, project task force implementation and working groups as assigned. The position will work collaboratively as part of a small team of full and part-time resources.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports MAOHT committees, project specific task forces and working groups as assigned by developing meeting materials and presentations, leading and facilitating meetings and following up on issues and responses.
- Supports MAOHT on all aspects of its priorities including support to and or leading the implementation of collaborative MAOHT projects at the local level.
- Monitors performance and reports on deliverables, develops and analyzes data from various sources to determine performance and work plan results, produces reports on performance and work plan activity, identifies issues and recommends mitigation strategies.
- Engages the community and health system partners and community partners on adoption of the approved collaboration projects, communicates and collaborates with local partners to adopt changes and provide expertise, consultation and support in implementation and evaluation of MAOHT Projects.
- Provides project management expertise by developing and drafting work plans; identifying budget and resources; establishing key steps and critical paths, developing project methods; managing priorities, monitoring and reporting on progress, and resolving issues and conflicts.
- Organizes and conducts stakeholder and government relations and issues management as required.
- Prepares timely and accurate project updates, communication materials, internal/external correspondence and other executive documentation related to project planning, management and reporting.
- Assists with strategic and long-term planning activities based on research and analysis of data and initiatives, community needs, provincial initiatives, funding deliverables and legislative requirements.
- Supports developing materials for reports required to the Ministry of Health and Ontario Health.
- During critical times of any project implementation, may be required to work off-hours and/or non-business hours.
- Provides support to other initiatives and engagements as may be required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Excellent understanding of the Ontario health care system and of rural health issues, priorities and needs.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to build, enhance and maintain positive strategic working relationships with local community, health service providers and other stakeholders and to influence decision making and adoption of change initiatives.
- Project management expertise with large-scale change initiatives and proven ability to support change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
- Ability to synthesize and succinctly present complex information and reports.

- Experience working with patients, family, caregivers and clinicians to co-design solutions.
- Solid understanding and demonstrated history related to health quality improvement measurement and management.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency with computer and software applications, notably Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency with virtual platforms that allow for remote activities.
- Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to Cottage Country Family Health Teams standards.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Health, Public Administration or Related Discipline.
- PMP Certification an Asset.
- 3 Years Experience in Project Management Required.
- Experience Working in a Healthcare Environment Preferred.
- Local Experience and Knowledge Preferred.
