Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Inside Warehouse Worker
Duties
- Determine Method of Shipment and arrange when required, prepare bills of lading and other shipping documents manually or by computer
- Assemble containers or crates, record contents by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information instructions.
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and notify all parties to all damaged goods without delay.
- Notify all parties when goods are received without delay.
- Pick, pack and prepare material to be shipped out.
- Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
- Maintain internal, manual and computerized record-keeping systems of incomng, stored and outgoing goods, as well as current space available, including but not limited to all inventory items, all paperwork with respect to shipped/received goods.
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
- Know safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials.
- Know proper shipping procedures for transportation of dangerous goods.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks within the shipping/receiving and warehouse areas, as well as demonstrating efficient organization skills.
- Responsible for small deliveries and pickups, when required.
- Assist others in the office.
- Be competent in identifying refrigeration parts/materials.
- Be competent with building security system and DFR security procedures.
Health & Safety
- Forklift license
- TDG certified
- WHIMIS Certified
- PPE must always be worn: protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves.
- Reflective vest, must be worn when working in outside loading dock area.
Hours
- 7:00am - 3:30pm (8 hours, 1/2 hour lunch)
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
