OBJECTIVE:
The Food & Beverage (F&B) Supervisor leads the restaurant and banquets teams in hospitality and guest service through proactive behaviors and meaningful gestures. The successful candidate will supervise service delivery and guest flow, ensuring a superior guest experience that is consistent with the Hilton standards. The F&B Supervisor will be reporting to F&B Management. The position will be Part-time and the hours of work will be varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A role model for The Hilton brand standards including CAVU Kitchen Bar and the Banquet operations.
- In the absence of F&B management, leads daily pre-shift meetings, ensuring completion of side work and cleaning duties for each outlet.
- Coordinate food & beverage delivery functions with the Restaurant Managers/Supervisors, Culinary & banquet team members.
- Assist with the supervision and training of banquet and restaurant associates on service delivery from start to finish.
- Assist with banquet billings/invoices.
- Ensure department compliance of Banquet Event Order specifics for every event (linens, chairs, food guarantees, tables, staging, timing, and special items).
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels; effectively responds to and handles guest problems and concerns.
- Ensures team members are empowered to satisfy guest concerns regarding product and service.
- Tracks issues so action may be administered to prevent re-occurrence and implement solutions for greater guest and team member satisfaction.
- Works with management to maintain a positive environment where suggestions and concerns are brought forward.
- Acts as host in the restaurant by greeting and seating guests promptly as required. Responsible for answering restaurant telephone, answering inquiries, taking and maintaining reservations.
- Assists servers with service delivery in outlets to ensure maximum guest satisfaction from point of entry to departure.
- Assists with cash and liquor control procedures and ensures adherence by all food and beverage team members.
- Assists with adjusting schedules to maintain operational needs.
- Assists with monthly inventories of the food and beverage department.
- Adheres to local liquor and health & safety laws.
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1 year of food & beverage/banquets experience in a supervisory role, or equivalent experience may be considered.
- Flexible to work on key days of operations
- Knowledge of local health & liquor laws.
- Valid Serving it Right Certification.
- Knowledge of wines, beer and spirits.
- Knowledge of Micros an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs essential.
- Current Food Safe (preferred).
- Diploma/degree in hospitality or related topic (preferred).
- Proficient in MS Office programs i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and has a demonstrated eye for detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple functions while meeting deadlines.
