Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care through acupuncture and other TCM therapies. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent patient assessment skills, and the ability to develop individualized treatment plans. The ideal candidate is committed to helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals through safe, effective, and personalized care.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced and motivated practitioner who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and growing a successful practice. The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).
- The ability to prescribe and dispense raw herbal formulas and/or concentrated herbal powders.
- Experience or a strong clinical interest in fertility and reproductive health, including both women’s and men’s health (considered a strong asset).
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with the initiative and motivation to build and expand their practice within a supportive and established clinical environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is considered an asset.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing health history, current symptoms, and treatment goals, to determine appropriate care plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using acupuncture and other Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapies based on each patient's needs.
- Provide safe, effective, and professional acupuncture treatments while ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
- Educate patients on the benefits of acupuncture and TCM, as well as recommended lifestyle, dietary, and self-care practices to support their health and wellness goals.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required documentation in accordance with regulatory and clinic standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic and, when required, with external healthcare providers or hospital-based teams to support coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, patient care, and infection prevention and control practices.
