SUMMARY:
The Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC), a year-round private club with City and Island Clubhouses in Toronto, is currently seeking a Front Desk Attendant, to join our Member Services team. This entry-level role supports safety, service, and security operations across RCYC’s facilities and is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in hospitality and Club operations. As a Front Desk Attendant, you'll play a key role in creating welcoming members and guests, supporting other departments and logistics and transportation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet Members and Guests courteously and professionally.
-
Support onboarding/offboarding of passengers at Club docks and launch stations.

Assist with issuing guest passes and managing visitor sign-ins.

Monitor grounds and access points to uphold safety and Club policies.

Provide accurate information about Club amenities, directions, and events.

Conduct routine walkarounds and report safety concerns to management.

Assist with Club events, deliveries, and special functions.

Maintain cleanliness and professionalism across all Member Service areas.
Site-Specific Tasks May Include:

City Station – Assist with guests’ accessible transportation, vehicle direction, retail support, and deliveries.

City Clubhouse – Conduct security walkarounds and monitor guest access.

Island Clubhouse – Raise/lower Club flags, patrol grounds, and check doors, lights, and facilities after hours.
WHAT YOU BRING?

Customer service or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Strong communication and people skills.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook an asset).

Positive, proactive mindset with a willingness to learn.

CPR and First Aid and Smart Service are required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during shifts.

Capable of moving between Club facilities and performing physical tasks.
HOURS OF WORK:

Seasonal schedule with flexibility for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Shifts may rotate between Clubhouse locations depending on operational needs.
