Reimer Soils is a family owned Winnipeg business with over 40 years of history serving the Landscaping supply needs of Winnipeg and the surrounding area. We currently have an opening in our mechanic shop. The position commences now with potential for immediate work - positive performance can lead to winter work and an opportunity into the future. Compensation will be dependent upon experience.

Our mechanics support our entire fleet and ensure we maintain safe equipment and efficient up time for our operation. We are looking for a skillful mechanic with strong attention to detail, physical strength and manual dexterity. Our fleet consists of various semi-trucks and trailers, screening plants, construction equipment, farm machinery and various small equipment.
Experience we are looking for:
-various diesel truck diagnosis and repair including wear parts, suspension, electrical, hydraulics, welding etc.
-stick and MIG welding experience is an asset.
-mechanically inclined with ability to learn and diagnose issues with various pieces of equipment and vehicles.
-ensure safety and preventative maintenance policies are followed.
-be proactive in ensuring equipment is respected and maintained.
Skills:
Training and accreditation preferred but not required.
Transportation and or farm experience
Knowledge of Diesel trucks especially older model tandems, tandem trailer, triaxle, single axle, trains
High energy problem solver with strong work ethic.
Minimum of 2 years progressive experience.
Strong communication skills.
Safety focus.
