Our team in Moncton, NB is currently seeking a Team Lead who will support and assist the Branch Manager with a variety of key day to day responsibilities related to our structured cabling projects.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and hands-on experience with structured cabling projects and be able to help provide guidance to our field staff where required.
This is an in-office role and will based out of our Moncton office on Edinburgh Drive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shipping and Receiving:
-
Order materials for jobs, including producing or obtaining quotes and submitting to the Purchaser for PO creation
-
Upload packing slips into PL
-
Pick up materials from suppliers, inventory items, and sort materials by job
-
Track PO ETAs to support scheduling and review customer orders
Scheduling:
-
Coordinate scheduling with national coordinators, including closing work orders for national accounts
-
Ensure proper Scope of Work (SOW) and material lists are obtained for projects and service calls
-
Maintain scheduling for non-national work in coordination with the Branch Manager
Training:
-
Organize and maintain technician training, including safety and manufacturer certifications
Equipment Management:
-
Manage and maintain test equipment and fusion splicers for technicians
-
Oversee inventory of power tools, hand tools, ladders, and PPE
Warehouse Management:
-
Maintain warehouse organization and housekeeping in alignment with safety standards
-
Track inventory for both internal stock and national accounts
Fleet Management:
-
Assist with scheduling maintenance for company vehicles
-
Track registrations, MVIs, and coordinate repairs
Accounts Receivable and Payable:
-
Manage billing for all work orders (local branch, service calls, small jobs, and large projects)

Ensure jobs are moved through “Finished Work,” “To Bill,” and “Accounts Receivable” stages

Verify material costs and quantities

Follow-up with customers on outstanding invoices
Payroll:

Review weekly timesheets for all technicians to ensure alignment with PL time entries

Submit timesheets for Branch Manager approval
Joint Health and Safety Committee:
Branch Support

Oversee technicians and branch operations in the absence of the Branch Manager
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

3–5 years of experience in the telecommunications/communications industry
-
Working knowledge of company services and offerings
-
Ability to support and respond to technical and customer inquiries
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members
-
Experience coordinating with field technicians, including providing documentation and supporting scheduling activities
-
Proficient computer skills, with the ability to work within systems such as PL
-
Ability to oversee and manage branch operations in the absence of the Branch Manager
