SRS Conveyors is a leading provider of material handling equipment since 1962. Due to continued growth and expanding business, SRS Conveyors has an immediate opening for a Mig Welder / Fabricator/ Installer to join our team.
Role Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic mig welder / fabricator / installer assistant looking to apply their skills in an industrial shop setting.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute general shop fabrication activities
- Assist in cutting, ironworking, welding standard parts
- Follow work orders and drawing specifications
- Fabricate and prototype custom parts
- Setup or build custom jigs for custom orders
- Learn different conveyor lines
- Gain exposure to site and installation techniques
- Follow quality control standards in the shop
- Follow health and safety procedures and best practices
- Maintain shop and equipment in a clean and orderly manner on a daily basis
- Provide continuous improvement ideas and support lean initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to work with work with HSS squares, tubes, angles, round bars, flat bars etc.
- Experienced using horizontal saw, ironworkers, drill presses, and pedestal grinders
- Familiar with general shop machinery and power tools
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and third angle projection
- Mig welding experience at least 1 year
- Forklift and crane certification would be a plus
- Able to work independently and assist others to achieve common goal
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter, willingness to learn
- Valid driver’s license
