Residential HVAC
Full-Time $29–$40/hr (Negotiable) Benefits Included
ABOUT US
Link ClimateCare has been keeping homes healthy and comfortable for 58 years. Our team of dedicated, qualified technicians provides outstanding service and complete satisfaction in the following areas: Beaverton, Lindsay and The City of Kawartha Lakes, Orillia, Port Perry, Uxbridge, Georgina, and Peterborough.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re a growing residential HVAC company expanding into the Peterborough service territory, and we’re looking for a Lead Installation Technician who takes pride in their craft, leads by example, and delivers an exceptional experience on every job. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled technician who is ready to take ownership of installations from start to finish — and bring a crew along with them.
Our work spans the full spectrum of modern residential comfort systems — geothermal heat pumps, air source heat pumps, furnaces, central air conditioning, boiler systems, and in-floor hydronic heating. We’re a team that embraces new technologies and installation methods, and we’re looking for someone who shares that mindset.
As we grow into a new geographic service area, this role is central to our success. You’ll be one of the faces of our company in the field — and a key part of how we scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Installations — Take ownership of residential HVAC installations from pre-job preparation through to commissioning and customer sign-off. Ensure every installation meets our quality and safety standards.
- Team Leadership — Lead and mentor a small installation crew. Set the pace, maintain high standards on the job site, and support the development of junior technicians.
- Customer Interaction — Represent the company professionally in every customer interaction. Communicate clearly, answer questions confidently, and leave a lasting positive impression.
- Varied System Installations — Execute installations across a wide range of residential HVAC systems including geothermal heat pumps, air source heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, boiler systems, and in-floor hydronic systems.
- Attention to Detail — Perform meticulous, code-compliant work on every job. Take the time to do it right the first time.
- Problem Solving On-Site — Identify and resolve installation challenges as they arise, escalating to management when required.
- Continuous Learning — Stay current with evolving equipment, installation techniques, and industry best practices. Embrace training opportunities and new system types as we expand our service offerings.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- G2 Gas Fitting Licence (required) — Must be valid and in good standing.
- 313D Residential Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Licence (asset) — Candidates holding a 313D licence are encouraged to apply and will be viewed favourably.
- Additional trade licences or certifications (asset) — Any further HVAC-related credentials — TSSA, hydronic systems, geothermal, heat pump certifications, or equivalent — are welcomed. Please include all credentials in your application.
- 3–5 years residential HVAC experience — Hands-on field experience with residential installations. Prior lead or supervisory experience is a strong asset.
- Varied equipment experience (strong asset) — Exposure across multiple system types is highly valued — geothermal heat pumps, air source heat pumps, furnaces, A/C, boilers, and in-floor hydronic systems.
- Team leadership ability — You’re comfortable guiding others, setting a standard, and holding yourself and your crew accountable.
- Customer-driven attitude — You understand that the job isn’t done until the customer is confident and satisfied. Professionalism on-site is non-negotiable.
- Attention to detail — You take pride in clean, precise, code-compliant work and don’t cut corners.
- Willingness to learn — You’re open to new installation styles, equipment, and techniques — and you see ongoing development as part of the job.
- Clean driver’s abstract (required) — A valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract is mandatory. Will be requested as part of the hiring process.
