We are looking for an associate with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, strong initiative, and a good sense of humour. Our ideal candidate is committed to growing and refining their skills as a family lawyer.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year post-call experience (Family Law preferred but not mandatory)
- Preference will be given to candidates with 1+ years of experience
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow (mentorship provided)
Key Competencies
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to urgent matters
- Strong independent work ethic with minimal supervision
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively with staff
- Willingness and ability to attend courthouses throughout Simcoe County
- A demonstrated connection to Barrie and/or Simcoe County is considered an asset
Requirements
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- No open disciplinary investigations
- LawPRO insurance in good standing
- This is an in-office position (hybrid available after proven performance)
