The Continuing Education department of Champlain College Saint Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR for the course UNDERSTANDING THE INDIVIDUAL WITH AUTISM (351-H12-VL)
This course will enable students to deepen their knowledge of the internal structure of autistic thinking.
Students will learn to distinguish, analyze and justify the contribution of adaptive strategies depending on the deficit or the cognitive strength of a person with ASD.
Required Qualifications :
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a discipline related to Special Care Counselling and 2 years teaching experience.
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working with an autistic clientele.
Teaching experience within a similar program is an asset.
This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.

Comments :
Approximately one (1) Saturday class per month will be given in-person and the remaining classes will be delivered online/at distance.
The specific in-person dates will be determined in collaboration with the hired instructor.
The selected candidate must have the ability to deliver a course online.

This course is taught in English. The selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
