Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, with a focus on sleep disordered breathing and home oxygen. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a home care setting. Your expertise in home care will be essential in delivering effective treatment plans and ensuring patient comfort.
Duties
- Conduct assessments of patients' overall health with a focus on respiratory health.
- Initiate oxygen therapy in the home.
- Initiate CPAP therapy to ensure effective therapy and maximize comfort.
- Utilize various medical equipment.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on clinical evaluations.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license from CAHPPEI, and liability insurance.
- Experience in a home care setting preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to respiratory therapy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to triage tasks for effective work flow and patient care.

Pay: $40.00-$44.00 per hour
