Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and safety while enhancing their appearance. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks with care and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Bathe, dry, and brush pets to prepare them for grooming.
- Trim and style fur, nails, ears, and other grooming areas according to breed standards or customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming area and tools.
- Monitor pets during grooming for signs of distress or health issues.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and aftercare instructions.
- Handle pets gently and securely, demonstrating patience and compassion throughout the grooming process.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving large or heavy animals or equipment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy animals.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
