Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and transportation industry, is seeking a dedicated Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be an essential part of the operations team supporting efficient and reliable freight management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to excellence, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Range: $19
Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Wednesday & Saturday off
What's the Job?
- Provide logistics support including order entry, routing, and dispatching
- Coordinate traffic and monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure timely arrivals
- Maintain customer profiles and update loads in the Freight Optimizer system
- Communicate with drivers, receivers, and customers to provide load status updates
- Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete necessary documentation
What's Needed?
- At least 1 year of logistics experience
- General knowledge of the transportation industry
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose solutions
- Independent work ethic with minimal supervision and a positive mindset towards challenges
