Emerald Lawns is hiring for a full time permanent Crew member.
We are a small, family run business and would love to hire someone with a passion in making sure a job is well done. There is room for growth to a crew lead, should you show the skills and passion required to move up.
Job Duties
- During the months of November to April, this position will be on one of our snow crews. This will involve driving one of our trucks with a trailer, to each job site to complete snow removal in a timely manor.
- During the months of May to October, this position will be on our commercial lawn maintenance crew. This will include driving one of our trucks, with the possibility of a trailer being attached.
- Operate various Landscaping equipment, ie: stand-up mowers, hand push lawn mowers, Stihl trimmers, backpack blowers, etc.
- Operate snow removal equipment, ie: Skidsteer and trailer, snow blower, snow sweeper, scrappers and various other tools to help control ice build-up.
- Complete jobs with attention to detail
- Take care of equipment and tools as assigned
- Follow all Safety Policy and Safe Work Procedures
- Physical requirements of lifting, bending, pulling and pushing
- Other General Labor duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience is an asset but not necessary
- Professional and Safety Minded
- Communication and Time Management Skills
- Enjoy working outside (elements of weather)
- Physically Fit (required)
- Ability to be on feet for long periods of time (job requires A LOT of walking)
- Ability to work within time constraints
- Shifts change between AM and PM depending on weather
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday (Monday - Sunday during winter months) and nights during snow events
- Alberta Driver’s is Mandatory ( Class 5 )
- Must have own vehicle to get to and from the office (No Transit as we have varied start times)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
