Under the direction of the Supervisor or Shift Manager, the Host at Gordon Ramsay Burger serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional dining experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing waitlists and reservations, and coordinating smooth guest flow throughout the restaurant. The Host helps maintain a welcoming, efficient, and guest‑ready environment while consistently upholding all company policies, procedures, and Gordon Ramsay brand standards.
Key Accountabilities
Guest Greeting — Welcome guests with a polished, friendly, and professional presence that reflects the energy of the restaurant.
Seating Coordination — Manage the seating chart with accuracy and efficiency, balancing guest experience with operational flow.
Waitlist Management — Provide clear, confident communication around wait times while maintaining a positive guest experience.
Reservation Support — Assist with reservations and guest inquiries, ensuring accuracy and timely follow‑up.
Service Team Support — Collaborate with servers and leadership to maintain smooth operations during peak periods.
Guest Issue Escalation — Identify and escalate guest concerns promptly to the appropriate team member.
Cleanliness & Presentation — Maintain a clean, organized, and guest‑ready host stand and entrance area at all times.
Communication Excellence — Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, and leadership.
Brand Representation — Uphold the Gordon Ramsay standard of hospitality through every interaction.
Other Duties — Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall guest experience.
Education and Qualifications

Minimum 1 year customer service experience

Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Experience using “Open Table” reservations platform an asset

Serving it Right certification

Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Computer literacy in MS Office an asset

Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
