Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations and recordkeeping using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Support the dentist during procedures, including sterilization of instruments and preparation of treatment rooms
- Manage patient appointments, answer questions, and ensure a positive patient experience
- Maintain infection control standards and adhere to safety protocols
- Provide support in pediatric or orthodontic cases if applicable, ensuring tailored care for diverse patient needs
Skills
- Proficiency with Dentrix or other dental practice management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations
- Experience in dental assisting is advantageous for supporting clinical operations
- Strong customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for patients
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Prior dental office experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with daily operations and patient care standards

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
