Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role requires a strong understanding of beverage preparation, food safety standards, and exceptional hospitality skills to ensure an enjoyable experience for all patrons.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Manage cash register operations using POS systems such as Micros POS, including cashiering and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and food handling standards
- Restock bar supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by verifying legal drinking age and recognizing signs of intoxication
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours
- Follow all food safety regulations and industry best practices in food service
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of serving techniques, food safety, and food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining professionalism
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
