Marry Me Mochi - Team Member
Job Type: Temporary / Seasonal/ Part-time
Pay: $17.60 per hour
Marry Me Mochi is looking for highly energetic, friendly, responsible, and reliable team members to join us for the Waterloo Busker Carnival, from August 27-30, 2026.
We're looking to build a strong team for our festival and event season. This is an excellent opportunity for students, recent graduates, or anyone looking for seasonal work to gain experience in a fast-paced festival environment while working with a fun and supportive team.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a warm, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Provide outstanding customer service and create a positive experience for every guest.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Prepare and serve food efficiently while following food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area.
- Restock supplies throughout the event.
- Work collaboratively with teammates during busy periods.
- Assist with booth setup, closing duties, and end-of-day cleanup.
Qualifications
We're looking for team members who are:
- Highly energetic and enthusiastic.
- Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
- Excellent communicators with outstanding customer service skills.
- Positive, hardworking, and team-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
- Previous food service or customer service experience is an asset.
- A valid Food Handler Certificate is preferred. Applicants who do not currently hold a valid certificate must obtain one before their first scheduled shift.
Availability
Applicants should be available to work August 27-30, 2026, with availability for all four event days strongly preferred.
Due to the nature of festival events, employees must be willing to stay beyond their scheduled shift if required to help manage customer demand and complete end-of-day cleanup.
Future Opportunities
Marry Me Mochi participates in festivals, pop-up markets, and community events throughout the year. Team members who demonstrate reliability, strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and exceptional performance will be considered for additional event shifts throughout the season.
Top-performing event staff may also be offered the opportunity to join our storefront team as positions become available. We're looking to invest in people who represent our brand with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
