Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bin Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to collect and transport waste materials. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure smooth operations and compliance with all regulations.
Duties
- Safely operate bin trucks from designated locations within assigned jobs
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of materials, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed
- Maintain accurate records of collections, receipts, and any incidents during shifts
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while operating the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with manager and team members regarding route updates or issues
Skills
- Proven experience in driving heavy trucks, preferably bin trucks or similar vehicles
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Excellent attention to safety procedures and traffic regulations
- Good physical stamina for extended periods of driving and manual handling tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills for coordination with team members and dispatchers
