Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, particularly excavators, and will be responsible for executing excavation tasks safely and efficiently on various job sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators on construction sites.
- Ability to read plans for basement digging and prepping.
- Working in small areas with excavator to perform specific digging for details and grading for site specific Blue prints.
- Perform excavation tasks including digging trenches, grading land, and moving materials as required.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate work activities and ensure project timelines are met.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or repairs needed for equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy machinery in a construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with DSSP, ground disturbance regulations, and safe work practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members on-site.
- Ability to work independently, stay on task, and take direction from Dispatch and site supervisors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00-$43.00 per hour
