Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with a keen eye for detail and creativity in cake decorating. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal
- Assist in food preparation and cooking for the bakery and restaurant sections as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food packaging for takeout orders with attention to quality and presentation
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards before serving or packaging
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate production schedules and menu offerings
Skills
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts, preferably within a restaurant or bakery environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills to engage with guests when necessary
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and food safety standards
- Experience with food industry equipment, packaging, and presentation techniques
- Creative flair for designing visually appealing desserts and pastries
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
