Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, supporting skilled trades, and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and familiarity with basic construction tools and techniques. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry and opportunities for skill development across multiple trades.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Support carpenters, plumbers, welders, and other tradespeople in their tasks
- Operate hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and caulking guns to complete assigned duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to aid in project execution
- Assist with heavy lifting counter tops such as granite marble and quartz
- Perform tasks related to restoration, construction painting, flooring installation, tile laying, and other finishing activities
- Assist with plumbing and welding tasks as directed by supervisors
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on-site
- Maintain a clean work area and properly store tools and materials
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with hand tools, blueprint reading, schematics, and basic carpentry skills is advantageous
- Knowledge of construction processes such as caulking, restoration, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, welding, and painting is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and supporting team members

Pay: $17.40-$23.00 per hour
