About the Role
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to cover a maternity leave on our dedicated surgical team. This is a fixed-term contract of approximately 12–18 months and represents an excellent opportunity to gain specialized oral surgery experience in a high-caliber private practice. Depending on practice needs, there is potential for the role to become permanent.

This position involves front-desk administration, patient coordination, scheduling, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of a busy surgical office.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and professional first impression.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries efficiently and courteously.
- Coordinate appointments, surgical bookings, and follow-up visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records and handle confidential information with care.
- Support the surgical team with administrative tasks as needed.
- Assist with billing, insurance claims, and documentation.
- Ensure the office operates smoothly and patients feel cared for throughout their visit.
About You
- Prior dental or oral surgery office experience is required.
- Comfortable with dental practice management software (e.g., Open Dental); able to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Professional, compassionate, and service-oriented personality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working in a small, collaborative team environment.
- Able to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Adaptable, eager to learn, and receptive to feedback.
