Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Law Clerk (Accident Benefits) to join our legal team. Based in our Windsor office, this role plays a key part in supporting our lawyers with accident benefits claims and ensuring clients receive the compensation they deserve. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a team dedicated to supporting individuals through challenging times.
Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Assist lawyers with preparing, managing, and advancing accident benefits claims.
- Documentation: Draft legal documents and correspondence with precision, and proofread all materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Research & Review: Conduct legal research and review complex case files and supporting documentation.
- File Organization: Maintain organized physical and digital case files using established document management systems.
- Communication: Liaise professionally with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers.
- Administrative Support: Support day-to-day administrative tasks while ensuring compliance with legal deadlines and procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years’ experience as a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant in personal injury or insurance law. Newly graduated candidates from relevant programs are welcome to apply.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with accident benefits processes is considered an asset.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with legal research tools, document management systems, and MS Office Suite.
- Skills: Strong drafting, research, and organizational abilities.
- Attributes: Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage multiple files, and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
