About the Role
DJN Services Ltd. is hiring experienced Class 1 and Class 3 End Dump Drivers to haul material to and from job sites and pits. You'll be responsible for safe, efficient loads, clean pre- and post-trip inspections, and keeping our projects moving. We're looking for dependable drivers who know how to run a dump truck, respect the equipment, and put safety first.
Both Class 1 (tractor-trailer end dumps) and Class 3 (straight/tandem dump truck) drivers are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
- Operate end dump trucks and trailers to haul [gravel, sand, aggregate, dirt, asphalt, etc.]
- Load, transport, and unload material safely and to spec
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate log books
- Follow designated routes, haul cycles, and dispatch instructions
- Back into and dump in tight spots and on uneven ground safely
- Watch for overhead lines and obstructions when raising the box
- Perform minor maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Keep the truck, trailer, and work area clean and hazard-free
- Follow all company, site, DOT/MPI, and provincial regulations
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with air brake (Z) endorsement
- [2]+ years of dump truck / end dump driving experience
- Clean driver's abstract [/ acceptable driving record]
- Solid knowledge of pre-trip inspections and hours-of-service rules
- Experience backing and dumping on active job sites and in pits
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather and long hours during peak season
