Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and professional Day Cab Drivers to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial trucks with refrigerated trailers to transport goods efficiently and safely . The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, strong customer service orientation, and effective time management to ensure timely deliveries and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely operate Day Cab trucks to transport freight between locations according to scheduled routes
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during pickups and deliveries
- Maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, including delivery receipts and elogs
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimize route efficiency
- Follow company policies and safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating Day Cab trucks with reefer units
- Proven experience in commercial driving, with a clean driving record
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules and delivery deadlines
- Good communication skills for reporting issues or concerns during routes
- Ability to pass any required background checks as per company policy
- Physical ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and handle cargo as needed
