Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Bricklayers Labourer to support our construction and masonry projects. This role involves assisting skilled bricklayers and masons in various tasks related to building, restoration, and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and an interest in construction trades. Responsibilities
- Assist bricklayers and masons with mixing mortar, carrying materials, and preparing work sites
- Handle hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels to support masonry work
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment under supervision for tasks like lifting and moving materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to assist in project execution
- Support renovation and restoration efforts by preparing surfaces and assisting with caulking and sealing tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Follow safety protocols at all times during construction activities
- Support the setup of scaffolding or other structures as needed for project access
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Basic understanding of construction processes, masonry techniques, and blueprint reading
- Experience or familiarity with renovation, restoration, or caulking is beneficial
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings for project support
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills related to masonry, construction, and site safety
- Good teamwork skills with a focus on safety compliance and quality workmanship
