You'll always be involved with doing something new as every event is different. You will help your clients create amazing events using our vast inventory; assisting as they navigate our catalogue, generate quotes, estimate labour and delivery costs, provide logistical advice, convert quotes to active jobs, liaise with operations and complete contracts when the event is done. You will be communicating with clients over email and the phone and meeting them in person in our showroom to help them create table mock-ups. This is primarily an in-office role, but will periodically include visits to venues for sales calls as well as onsite to help set up events from time to time. Position Expectations:
- You will meet customer expectations through outstanding customer service and sales.
- Make product recommendations to match or enhance your client’s vision
- Create and maintain relationships with prospective and current clients
- Provide clear, accurate, friendly communication with clients, colleagues, venues and vendors through email and phone.
- Provide onsite event support, consultation and recommendations when required
- Generate rental quotes and convert them into active jobs, organize a large client base, and accurately keep track of numerous contracts at once.
- Communicate with the operations department to create a flawless customer experience
- Ensure sales cycles are complete from first client contact to follow-up and payment
- Other event-related and administrative duties as required
Candidate Requirements
- Must have excellent detail recall and be able to manage multiple accounts at once
- Flexibility about tasks and responsibilities
- Must have great communication skills
- Relatable experience either in event coordination (such as through school programs or recreation background)
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new programs with ease
Post-secondary education (Event management, Recreation Management) is considered an asset.
