High volume specialty market looking for an experienced cashier with a friendly and outgoing personality. Duties include cashing, stocking shelves, and opening/closing responsibilities. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional manner
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are correctly priced and stocked
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales goals
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times and keep checkout lines moving smoothly
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience, including with produce, required
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and product presentation
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse customers
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
