Responsibilities

- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS system, ensuring accurate and efficient seating arrangements.
- Direct guests to their tables promptly while providing menus and answering initial questions about the restaurant.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or reservation details.
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and well-presented.
- Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods, ensuring smooth operations and a positive dining atmosphere.
Skills
- Proven experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service roles with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations, inquiries, and feedback professionally.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of food service procedures and restaurant operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across customer-focused settings.
