Level II Dental Assistant — South Kitchener Dentistry
South Kitchener Dentistry (SK Dentistry) is a growing, owner-operated practice in Kitchener, run day-to-day by two dentists who work chairside alongside the team. We're looking for a Level II Dental Assistant who's a strong clinical partner at the chair, great with patients, and keen to keep building their skillset over time.
This is a hands-on role on a busy, collaborative team. We invest in our people, and the right person will have real room to grow, take on new responsibilities, and help shape how we deliver care.
What you'll do
- Assist our dentists chairside across a wide range of procedures, including Invisalign and pediatric cases
- Prepare treatment rooms, set up trays, and sterilize and reprocess instruments per infection control protocols
- Take digital dental radiographs (with valid radiography certification)
- Perform permitted Level II intra-oral duties as delegated, within your scope of practice
- Guide patients through their treatment — explaining procedures, answering questions, and keeping them comfortable
- Keep accurate clinical documentation in our practice management software
- Support the front desk with scheduling and patient flow when needed
- Help keep the clinical area clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Uphold infection prevention and control standards in line with RCDSO and PIDAC/Public Health Ontario guidelines
What we're looking for
- NDAEB certification / Level II Dental Assistant qualification
- Valid radiography certification (HARP), or willingness to obtain it
- A real team player — collaborative, reliable, and easy to work alongside on a busy day
- A growth mindset and openness to feedback — someone who's coachable, wants to learn, and is excited (not anxious) about expanding their skillset over time
- Strong communication skills and warmth with a diverse patient base
- Solid attention to detail and a genuinely caring approach to patients
- Willingness to learn new dental practice management software
Nice to have (but not required)
- Some Invisalign experience is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with intraoral scanning and digital workflows
- Prior chairside experience in a busy general practice
Why South Kitchener Dentistry

- Training provided in dental 3D printing
- Genuine opportunities to expand your skillset and take on new clinical areas
