Position: Apprentice Carpenter - Door hanger / Installer - Trailer Manufacturing Facility
Salary: $25 - 30/hr To start with room for advancement
Location: Acheson
Permanent Full Time Position with Overtime available
Seeking experienced Door installers for our Clients Trailer manufacturing facility. Candidates should have at least 6+ months of Carpentry or related experience .
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow scope of work unless direct otherwise by the Foreman/Lead hand
* Installation of exterior & interior doors
* Installing trim, weather seals, etc.
* Using Spray foam and applying silicon caulking
* Installation of baseboards, casings, and trim
* Ensure all safety codes are followed and proper safety attire is always worn.
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Previous Door hanging or general carpentry experience
* Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions
* General construction safety knowledge
* Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience
* Strong focus on customer satisfaction
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work independently in a demanding environment
* A team player with strong people skills
* Standard First Aid an asset
Physical Requirements
* Stand or walk for long periods of time
* Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
* Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
