Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Full-Time Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
- Manage cash register operations including cash handling, balancing drawers, and issuing receipts
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and upsell items to enhance sales
- Maintain knowledge of store merchandise, promotions, and sales to inform customers effectively
- Ensure the checkout area is organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring products are properly presented
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Follow store policies regarding safety, security, and confidentiality
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers
- Bilingual abilities (English plus additional language) are a plus for serving a broader customer base
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
