We are currently looking for certified, or soon to be certified MRI Technologist (Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist) to join our expanding outpatient clinics at our Chinook clinic in a casual capacity. Working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain procedures, position patients, adjust equipment, and capture diagnostic images. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform MRI Exams: Conduct standardized and complex diagnostic procedures under the direction of Radiologists and referring Physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
- Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
- Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
- Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills.
- Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track MRI equipment performance, document findings, and assist in resolving basic issues.
- Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for patient exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Professional Membership: Active registration (or eligibility) with CAMRT & ACMDTT as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist.
- MRI Experience: Clinical competency in radiography with an interest in expanding skills.
- Specialized Knowledge: Venipuncture Certification or Initiation of Intravenous Therapy Certificate, and current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). CT training is considered an asset.
