Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Junior Executive Assistant on a contractual basis to support our client. This role is vital in ensuring smooth office operations, effective communication, and accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in office software, and excellent customer service abilities. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while developing valuable administrative expertise. There is an opportunity that this position could lead to full-time permanent.
Duties
- Schedule various meetings and appointments for the client and other executives.
- Arrange and coordinate member’s registration and accommodation at conferences as well as official functions.
- Attend Committee meetings as not taker prepare reports and distribute agendas and minutes for various Committees.
- Handle all financial transactions for the office, including the preparation of the yearly budget, audit and process invoices for payment, mileage, expense claims and credit card purchases, mobility billing and office inventory.
- Arrange for notices, promotional advertising and compose articles in local papers and promotional booklets.
- Arrange and set up other meetings as required, order food and refreshments.
- Update the online Events Calendar with meetings/events.
- Other duties as assigned in accordance with corporate objectives.
Requirements
- Two-year College diploma in Business Administration.
- Minimum one and a half years administrative experience at an Assistant level.
- Excellent organization, public relations, research, written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to act in a professional manner, communicate effectively and courteously with all levels of staff, and the general public.
- Working knowledge of TOMRMS/SharePoint filing system an asset.
- Excellent computer skills using MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the internet.
- In depth knowledge of Orillia and surrounding municipalities.
- Possess a valid class ‘G’ Ontario’s driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- A current and acceptable Criminal Record Check is required for this position at the incumbent’s expense, prior to the commencement date.
Pay and Schedule:
- Monday- Friday in office 8:30am-4:30pm
- 35 hour work week
- Pay every Friday from Vertical Staffing Resources
- $30.50/hr
- This contract end Nov 20th (there may be a chance for permanent placement onwards)

Pay: $28.00-$31.00 per hour
