Job Summary

Duties
- Ride with Journeyman Glazier and assist with repairs and installations at jobsites throughout the lower mainland.
- Follow safety protocols while on work sites.
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely.
- Handle glass, windows and doors safely and with care being conscious of the surrounding area.
- Stay present in the work at hand and be actively learning on the job. The more you can do for your Journeyman Glazier the better.
- Take direction from your Journeyman Glazier you are assigned to.
- You will come to our shop, load up the materials for the day and head out with your Journeyman Glazier, and travel all throughout the lower mainland do different glazing repairs and installation and will return to the shop at the end of each day.
- The candidate that is hired will go through and extensive on the job training program and will be tested weekly on their knowledge and comprehension. Having a pen and small notepad on hand will be required. The program takes 1-2 years to complete and by the end of it you'll be out on your own, driving a company vehicle working as an Installer Glazier, on your way to becoming a Journeyman Glazier yourself.
Experience
- No previous experience in the glass industry is required however it does help. We are okay to train the right candidate how to properly and safely handle glass and other glazing materials.
- Any familiarity with cordless power tools and other hand tools is helpful.
- Strength is important. You will be asked to lift heavy objects (up to 75-100 pounds) in some instances.
- Our ideal candidate will be able to articulate experiences they have had in the past where they were able to provide customers a high level of customer service, overcome difficult circumstances and showed solution seeking/problem solving skills. You will be asked these type of questions in the interview.
