Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Oilfield Lead Electrician to oversee electrical projects and ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, strong leadership abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of schematics, blueprints, and programmable logic controllers. Duties
- Lead and supervise electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities on-site.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
- Install, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems including low voltage wiring and power distribution.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical tasks efficiently.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and electrical experience to develop effective solutions.
- Oversee the installation and programming of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Mentor junior electricians and handyman staff to promote skill development and teamwork.
- Assist in renovation projects by updating or upgrading existing electrical systems as needed.
Experience
- Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong background in construction environments.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and low voltage systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical installation equipment.
- Familiarity with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is highly desirable.
- Prior handyman experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing electrical teams on complex projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices in industrial settings.
