Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Hand with Construction, Sewer and Watermain experience.
Responsibilities
- Support daily jobsite operations under owner/management direction.
- Help organize crew tasks and maintain workflow.
- Participating and ensuring all jobs are completed to proper specification and meets company standards.
- Ensuring job sites stay clean, safe, organized and professional.
- Ensure tools, equipment and materials are on site and ready to use.
- Communicate job progress, material needs and any challenges within job.
- Safely operate and supervise the use of equipment, tools, and machinery, etc.
- Follow safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment.
- Set the pace, expectation and professional standards for the crew.
- Conduct Safety Talks as needed.
- Complete and submit paperwork correctly and promptly.
- Perform tasks involving physical labor, such as digging, loading, unloading materials and other duties required.
- Required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Qualifications and Experiences
- Three plus years of experience as a lead hand or foreman.
- Construction, Sewer and Watermain Work experience.
- Clean driver abstract and a valid minimum G License.
- Strong time management skills – able to keep crews to task and maintain an established work schedule to complete the projects in a timely fashion.
- Organized and able to complete and submit paperwork on a timely basis.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong communication skills – able to delegate and provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail.
- Safety conscious.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00-$33.00 per hour
