Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist with FANUC controller expertise to join our manufacturing team on a steady afternoon shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency in CNC programming, with the ability to operate and troubleshoot CNC milling machines . Duties
- Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines and lathes using FANUC controls
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to produce accurate parts
- Perform routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools to ensure quality standards
- Adjust machine parameters and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal operation
- Maintain documentation of machining processes and quality checks
- Assist in tooling changes, machine maintenance, and setup adjustments as needed
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing machining processes and reducing waste
- Use power tools, welding equipment, and other hand tools for assembly or modifications when required
- Operate forklift for material handling within the manufacturing area
Skills
- Proven experience with FANUC CNC controllers and programming skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes and equipment maintenance
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD software such as SolidWorks or other CAD programs
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for precise machining tasks
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools
- Experience operating, CNC milling machines, and related machinery in a manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly procedures
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
