Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage sales processes, and assist customers with product inquiries will be vital to creating a positive shopping experience. Bilingual skills and experience in retail or technology sales are highly valued to support diverse customer needs and enhance sales opportunities.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping experience
- Serving customers
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently using cash registers and other POS equipment
- Provide product demonstrations and explain features to customers interested in technology or other merchandise
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately
- Answer customer questions regarding products.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness of the checkout area and seating area and ensure a welcoming environment
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Bilingual abilities (English and additional languages) are a plus for serving diverse clientele
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills required
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, or technical sales is advantageous
- Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and excellent phone etiquette are essential
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing outstanding customer service
