Reporting to the Director, Talent & Culture, the ideal candidate should have experience with HR practices, be a self-starter, have a service-oriented mindset, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:
- Provide overall administrative support to the HR team, including but not limited to preparing employee documents and letters, analyzing data and preparing reports, and assisting in developing presentation decks for various HR projects and initiatives.
- Actively participate in the recruitment process including drafting job descriptions, posting requisitions, sourcing and triage of CVs, phone screenings, etc.
- Act as a point of contact and a key resource for employees in dealing with a broad range of HR policies and procedures ensuring requests and/or issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Main point of contact for our HRIS, updating and maintaining digital employee files to ensure accuracy.
- Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including leading employee orientation sessions, conducting 1-week and 90-day check-ins with new employees, and working with managers to ensure employees are set up for success.
- Active participant in promoting Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) and social initiatives.
- Support the implementation of Health and Safety policies and procedures. Be part of the JHSC and coordinate initiatives and training.
- Recommend methods to improve and enhance employment policies, processes, and practices
- Other HR-related projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, or equivalent.
- +1 year of Human Resource experience, ideally in a mid to large size firm.
- Experience working in a professional services environment is considered an asset.
- Experience with HR Systems such as Ceridian Dayforce is desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively prioritize in a demanding, high paced environment.
- Please note that due to the nature of the position, a proficient level of English is required to communicate on a regular basis with employees outside of Quebec.
